Brief introduction of Phosphor bronze (Qsn)

Phosphor bronze (Qsn) is a type of copper alloy. It consists of copper alloyed with 0.5-11% tin and 0.01-0.35% phosphorus and may contain other elements to impart specific properties (E.g., 0.5-3.0% lead to make it easier to process). The tin in phosphor bronze increases copper's corrosion resistance and strength, while phosphorus increases its wear resistance and stiffness.

Phosphor bronze has a hard texture, higher strength, higher elasticity than brass, higher corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and excellent machinability with a maximum working temperature of 250 °C. In addition, tin phosphor bronze has good electrical conductivity, is not easy to generate heat, ensures safety, and has strong fatigue resistance.

Other materials used to make wire Terminals:

✔  Brass
a copper-zinc alloy, which is the most used terminal material, with good electrical conductivity, good ductility and high plasticity. Due to the different zinc content in brass, the mechanical properties are also different, and the mechanical properties of brass vary with the zinc content. With the increase of zinc content from H63 to H59, they can withstand hot processing well, and are mostly used in various parts of machinery and electrical appliances, stamping parts and musical instruments.

The strength is slightly lower than that of phosphor copper, high-temperature resistance, and good fatigue resistance in high-temperature environment
